In the land of Mossflower, many woodlanders have no freedom. But in the land of Kotir, there is. The wildcat, Tsarmina -Queen of a Thousand Eyes- is a cruel cat just waiting to crush everyone’s body except hers. But what she doesn’t know is that a mouse, Martin the Warrior, could do anything(maybe even more) a wildcat could. On his first day in Kotir, he was captured by some wildcat soldiers and Tsarmina broke the sword Martin’s father awarded him with. Right there he vowed to slay Tsarmina, even if she is the queen, she’s not the queen of Mossflower… Until she holds a ceremony finally deciding that Tarmina would be the Queen of Kotir and Mossflower. All the woodlanders -ferrets, hedgehogs, badgers, mice, weasels, etc.- held a ceremony and there they decided to fight against the wildcats. Mossflower was rightfully theirs and they should do what they need to do. Martin journeys to the Mountain of Dragons seeking a powerful weapon to prepare for the ultimate battle for the freedom of their land, Mossflower. Will he make it? How will the battle turn out and who will win? Read the first book the Mossflower series and answer all these questions in your head. This book should be read by anybody, boy or girl. It’s a fantasy with little animals and big forests and land… Nothing wrong with that. I just love how the woodlanders communicate with each other. ^^
