This story is about a boy named Ben, who is your regular homeless child. Well, that all changes when he meets a dragon named Firedrake and a brownie named Sorrel. Sorrel and Firedrake are looking for the place where dragons can live in peace forever. Together the three of them look for an old rat named Gilbert. Gilbert gives them a map to the place where dragons can live forever in peace and harmony. It turns out that this place is in the Himalayas. Later the three of them fly off following Gilbert’s map. On the way Sorrel and Ben argue about which way to go. They end up getting lost and fly off course. Will Ben, Sorrel, and Firedrake ever find a safe haven for the dragons? Well, you have to read this book to find out. This book would be for both girls and boys who like fantasy. Enjoy!

I read Dragon Rider, and really liked it!
Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke is about a quest of adventure and magic.
Firedrake, a silver dragon, is on a quest to find the Rim of Heaven, a magical place where dragons can live in peace forever. He is trying to find it because humans are trying to flood where he and other dragons live. With only a brownie with him, he flies to a city to get a map. The Rim of Heaven lies in the Himalaya Mountains also known as the roof of the world because of it’s heights. At the city, they meet an orphan living in an abandoned factory alone named Ben. He is homeless so, they take Ben with them. They go to many places together and fine someone to join them, a homunculus, or a man-made living creature. But, along the way, they realize that Nettlebrand, a golden man-made dragon is following them. They also find out that someone is betraying them and telling Nettlebrand (The Golden One) everything. Nettlebrand is a silver dragon hunter. He was made thousands of years ago by an alchemist and is designed to kill dragons. Who is telling their deepest secrets to The Golden One? Will they ever reach the Rim of Heaven? And will silver become more valuable than gold?
I really liked this book. It was an heart-warming fantasy. I also learned a few life lessons. Please Enjoy! ^^

Dragon Rider, by Cornelia Funke, is an exciting and fun too read book. In this story, Firedrake, a silver dragon, and Sorrel, a brownie, left there home and went on an adventure to find the Rim of Heaven, where dragons could live in peace. They fly to a city were they got a map from a mouse. While they were there, they met a lonely boy named Ben. Ben was an orphan so Firedrake and Sorrel took Ben with them. As they were flying, Nettlebrand, a man-made dragon made to kill dragons, saw them and sent a homunculus, a small man-made creature, as a spy to see were Firedrake was going. Nettlebrand soon found out that Firedrake was trying to find the Rim of Heaven! Will Firedrake lead Nettlebrand to the dragons? Will Nettle brand destroy all the dragons? Read Dragon Rider to find out. I recommend this story to people who are looking for adventure.
