  1. I also read this book! My summary is a little bit beyond the point Emily stopped writing but, I still LOVED this book, Here it is:

Set in the fairytale magic of Ella Enchanted, a girl named Aza longs for beauty. Though, she has a magical singing voice, her beauty is way low. When she travels to a royal city, she joins the Prince Ijori and Queen Ivi’s wedding. For, this is a great honor for her. Her unconventional appearance gets everyone believing she is an ogre. She is thrown into the dungeon because an ogre has amazing persuasive abilities and can get anyone doing anything at all. Later, when she sneaks out of the dungeon and runs away, she crosses gnomes and realizes that she is part gnome not ogre. When she returns to the castle of the royal city, she learns to except herself and her appearance but, she soon falls in love with the prince and the prince falls in love with her! The princess is truly mad and threatens to kill her….but, will the prince be enough to cover her jealousy for Aza?
And I do really think it is reccommended more to girls and all ages. This book is an astounding fantasy!

  2. Aza definitly doesn’t sound pretty,on the outside,I mean. But as you go futher in the book, Aza really does have a true heart, and if only others could see further past her face they would know how kind and gentle she is. The prince,Ijori, was smart and honest to look into her heart than to judge by her looks. Did you notice in the epilogue that it stated saying that Aza’s sister became “close friends of the Kyrrian ruler, Ella of Frell.” In “Ella Enchanted” it mentions Aza’s sister a freind of Ella, too.
Fairest is an overall great book and not only girls, Emily, but boys, too canenjoy this simply amazing story wonderfully written by Gail Carson Levine.
