Princess Addie is fearful and shy, what she really wants is to have a safe life. Her older sister Meryl is confident and brave, she really wants to go out and fight the many monsters that live in the kingdom of Bamarre, and to find the cure for the Gray Death. The Gray Death is a dangerous and mysterious disease that killed their mother. Addie and Meryl are complete opposites, and they love each other. Suddenly, the Gray Death strikes Meryl! It’s up to Addie to save her sister. Addie has only six days until her sister dies! She must get over her timidness and leave the castle to find the cure herself. So with sword in hand and magical gifts given to her by the sorcerer named Rhys, she sets out on a dangerous quest. In her path are the many monsters of Bamarre: specters, gryphons, ogres, and dragons. Can she save her sister in time? This book is an absolutely fantastic book! Beautifully written by Gail Carson Levine. I recommend it to girls who love humor, fantasy, romance, and adventure.

Emily has told you the plot of the story, but she didn’t put her opinion on the book. I think it is a story that con be very dear to someone’s heart, or it can be something that someone will never read again. I oppose with Emily because I think boys would like the adventure in it. Girls WOULD like it better, but not only girls. She also didn’t put that Addie’s sister, Myryl, has always been their for her. Another question is, Will Addie EVEN find the cure?
