Tally has done it. She has finally become a pretty. Despite the mad partying and cool tricks, Tally has a nagging feeling somethings wrong, and when a letter from Smoke arrives everthing stops cold. Tally is starting to remember things that Special Circumstances won’t let any one alive know about. When her friends are in trouble it’s the fight for her life. I think that if somebody likes adventure stories that are hard to put down,this your book.

This is the sequel to Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. You MUST read Uglies before you read Pretties or not much will make sense.
Tally has become a pretty! The only rule in New Pretty Town is to look beautiful and have fun. But, she gets a leather pouch with two pills and a letter adressed to herself. Something is wrong. She starts to remember everything. She has lesions! Those are scars in her brain that make her a ‘bubblehead.’ Her brain is rewired almost. But, the pills are to undo the damage. So, she and her friend Zane each take one. Zane and Tally are also in love. She tries to stay bubbly or happy. Like a good feeling. She needs the good feeling to remember everything like her time at a place called Smoke. She remember people like Croy, David, and Maddy. But, she also remembers the main thing: Lesions. Everyone that is a pretty has lesions. How can she fix this? How can she stop this? And most importantly, whose side will she be on? Pretties? Or Smokies?
This was a really exciting book. I don’t think my summary fits everything of this book. But you MUST read this series 10/10 definitely. Thank you to Garrett who recommended this series to me. Astounding! =] By the way, great job Melissa. I’m glad you love the series too!
