This book is about a young girl, Sophie, who works in her father’s hat shop. When one night the which of the waste came in and didn’t like any of the hats Sophie made she turned her into a old lady. The next morning Sophie went out to find a different place to go. The place she found was was Howl’s moving castle, she decided to stay there the night. During that night she recognized that the fire, Calcifer, was alive. She started to speek with him and ended up making a deal with him. She ended up staying so she could try to break Calcifer’s spell. The other people in the castle were Howl the wizard and Micheal his apprentice. While Sophie was staying she turned into a cleaning freak but when she tried to clean Howl’s room, well if you want to find out what happens you’ll have to read the book.
