Artimes Fowl: The Eternity Code – Eoin Colfer

This book, by Mr. Colfer, is another book of the Artimes Fowl series that I’ve read. I recommend this book to both girls and boys and I hope you enjoy reading this book. This book is about a thirteen year old genius named Artimes Fowl and one day he travels to London with his bodyguard, Butler. Artimes meets a famous guy called Jon Spiro and shows him this unique cube made of fairy technology, but he plans not to sell it. Jon is so interested that he somehow steals the C cube, as Artimes calls it. During Jon’s escape, Butler was injured by a bullet from Mr. Spiro’s bodyguard, Arno Blunt. Artimes manages to get in touch with his fairy friend, Holly Short. Holly and Butler were good friends, so Holly decides to heal him using her fairy magic. After several hours, Butler returned to life, but the fairy magic was so strong, he aged during the operation. Well, Jon Spiro is very excited, but when he gets to his office, he figures out that he can’t use the C cube. Artimes formed an Eternity Code. You see, an eternity is very complicated. The person who makes the code has to make up their own language and use it as their password. Mr. Spiro gets very angry so he hires two people, the metal man and the monkey, to kidnap Artimes and bring him here so he could get the code. Turns out the monkey is a dwarf and had once cooperated with Artimes before on some other mission. So Mulch Diggums (called the monkey since he’s so puny) pretends to kidnap Artimes, but he still brings him to Jon. Now, Artimes has to act scared and all, but he has already schemed up a plan and Mulch, plus Holly and Juliet( Butlers sister. She wants revenge), have to do it right or else Jon Spiro will activate the code and control the whole world. Fairy technology can be very powerful. So, will Artimes’ plan fail or will it succeed? Well, you’re going to have to read this book to find out! :] I hope you have fun when reading this!
