This book is about a boy named Eragon who finds a mysterious polished blue stone when he goes hunting for meat to feed his family. After finding the stone, Eragon thinks he can buy meat with the stone. However, the butcher he gives the stone will not trade. A few days later, the stone hatches a dragon the same color as it. Eragon breeds the small dragon and names it Sapphira. Later, Eragon’s uncle, Garrow, is killed by the Ra’zac.Eragon is then thrust into a perilous world of power and magic. Brom, an old storyteller, gives Eragon a sword called Za’roc and guides him to the Varden, the only safe place for Eragon. This book has adventurous characters and a medieval-like setting. I think both boys and girls would like it, especially those who like knights and magic.

Eragon- Christopher Paolini
I read Enoch’s blog and I decided to read Eragon, and I finished the book, so, this is my blog on the book.
This story starts out with an ordinary boy named Eragon, but he will soon find out that he has more potential then he belives he has.
One day, while Eragon is hunting for meat to feed his family, he discovers a polished blue stone. After discovering the stone, he belives that he can buy meat with the stone, however, the butcher will not trade him meat for the stone. A few days later, the stone hatches, and out comes a dragon, a water like blue. Eragon breeds the baby dragon and names her Saphira. Later, Eragon’s uncle, Garrow is killed by the Ra’ zac, who has a dragon of his own. Then and there, Eragon must become a dragon rider. A dragon rider is one who is a master of a dragon. Later, the old story teller and an old dragon rider, Brom, gives Eragon a sword called Za’ roc. So, then and there, Eragon is inthrust with power and magic.
I am sorry, but I can’t tell you the whole story! If you want to know what’s next, you have to read the story for yourself.
But anyway, I agree with Enoch in thinking that it would appeal to both boys and girls, especially the people who like knights and magic. Well I’d like to thank Enoch because, when I read his blog, I wanted to read Eragon too. Thanks Enoch!
