Week of September 2nd

3rd Grade Families,

Next week is a four-day school week (Labor Day holiday on Monday). We also have our all day field trip scheduled for Thursday, September 4. Therefore, there won’t be a Spelling list, Vocabulary list, or Grammar. In Math, I will be working on reviewing Chapter 3 for those that need support. The retake test will be given on Friday, September 5. Any support you can provide at home is appreciated.

In Social Studies we will learn about the Miwok people to help give context and meaning for the field trip to Indian Grinding Rock State Park.

This week’s assessment grades have all been posted in Synergy. You can find the results of their Ch 3 Math test also in Savvas.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Enjoy the three day weekend!

8/20 Homework

Parents: I gave the students about 20 minutes this afternoon to work on their homework in class. Lately there’s been high number of students not completing their homework, or not doing a very good job of it.  I’ll probably do this the next couple days so they understand what the expectations are this year. Please check their homework every night. If you see sloppy work/handwriting, sentences starting with lower case letters, sentences ending without end punctuation, have them redo it.

You can also check their Math homework by having them login to the portal and Savvas. In the Google Classroom their is math help for parents if you should need to help them with their math lessons.

Please let me know if you’d like to meet or have any questions.
