I Hope
A best friend is someone you can tell anything to.
Someone who you can trust.
Someone who believes in you.
Not someone who will leave you in the dust.
I haven’t experienced a best friend yet but I hope someday I will.
Hope is a funny thing.
I hope until it’s a dream that someday will be fulfilled.
I hope I’ll have someone to talk to but yet I still sit there all alone playing on the swings.
I hope someday I will find my platonic soulmate but for now I’ll sit by myself in a crowded room.
I’m hoping I’m wishing that someday I’ll be seen.
I’m trying to hold on to my hope feeling it slip away and as if gloom has consumed me.
I hope I’ll have someone to share my soul with and my deepest thoughts.
But yet when I walk with my friends I always happen to be three feet behind still thinking about my dream.
