Pop Art

Pop art is a type of art that started in Britain in the early 1950’s and the U.S. in the late 1950’s. Pop Art is known for its recognizable subject, bright colors, and flat images. Poem

I am from toy cars, from food an family. I am from the quiet, relaxed home. I am from the fruit trees and freshly cut grass. I am from visiting my grandparents and black hair, from Tony and Sonny and Hannah. I am from sarcastic responses and thinking things through. From “Do your best” and “Get good grades.” I’m from everything exists for a reason and respect your elders. I’m from San Jose and Vietnam, vegetables and rice. From the time Kim went off to college, and the moment when Laurence was born. I am from the box in the cabinet, containing priceless amounts of memories that remind us all of the past.

Lyrics

I chose the song Counting Stars by One Republic. I showed each part of the song through a picture and I added a text box of the lyrics.
