FULL SENTENCES AND EXPLANATIONS FOR FULL CREDIT

  1. Describe the book you used and what the story is about. How did you convey this with your artwork and your items you chose to take photos of?  1 paragraph 4-5 sentences  answer:

My book, Keeper of the Lost Cities: Legacy, is about Sophie and her friends battling against
their enemies, the Neverseen, in the elvin world by using powerful magic to protect
everything they love. I used many symbols to convey the most important aspects of this
book. I included a moonlark on the cover of the book, a black swan, a black (swan) feather, a
crown, fire, and digestive biscuit cookies. All of these are very important symbols in this
story.

  1. What was your background and sky? Why did you select this and how do they relate to the mood of your story? You were to select the foreground and background and sky specifically to create the mood of your story.

My background was fiery to represent the importance and danger of fire in this story. The
foreground is cement.

  1. What were your 6 PNG’s and how did they relate to your story?  Post each here and explain how each conveys the book.

Moonlark on the cover of the book (Sophie is the “Moonlark”, a symbol of hope in the
world), a black swan (the Blackswan organization), a black (swan) feather (the individual
within the Blackswan), a crown (King Enki), fire (extreme importance), and digestive biscuit
cookies (Keefe and Sophie’s strong bond)

  1. What line of text from the book did you use? Write the line of text here. Why did you select this line?

“There’s never a good time to almost die.” This line is really deep and meaningful.

  1. What type of mist or magic did you use? How does that relate to your story?

I used purple sparks, they remind me of Sophie and her magical abilities in this series.

  1. What revisions or improvements did you make? Think about the first idea you had, the first sketch, and your final. Explain the changes you made and why.

I changed the layout of the canvas and the way the book sat in order for the final
photoshopped product to be cleaner and have more ways to incorporate the pngs.

  1. What skills do you feel you did well at? Why?

I think I did well at brainstorming what I wanted my project to look like, it was a good and
creative idea in my opinion!

  1. What could you have done to improve your composition?

I could have focused better and not rushed as much/execution.

TEXTURE!

WHAT IS TEXTURE???

Texture- if you can describe how it feels then it is a texture.

Texture: Texture in photography is everywhere. In everyday objects and nature like trees, flowers, and fabrics. In essence, texture visually describes how something physically feels. Textures can be smooth, rough, and anything else your hand feels when it touches a surface.
