Hein Parents and Guardians,

Starting Monday, May 2nd, 2016, Arlene Hein Elementary School will be using a new automated calling system. This new system will be sending you attendance notifications in various ways.  When your child is absent from school and the absence has not been cleared, you will be called on your home and cell phones, Emailed an alert, as well as Texted an Alert(if you have opted in).  Notifications will be made at 10:30am and 6:00pm to ensure that you are contacted. If you receive one of these notifications, please contact your school during regular school hours to ensure they have correct information regarding your child’s absence.

Text\SMS Message:  The opt-in process for Text Messaging will take place around 10:00am, Monday, April 25th, 2016.  You will receive a text asking you if you would like to opt-in to alerts from Elk Grove Unified School District.  Please reply with a “Y” to opt-in, or do not respond to opt-out.  Opting In will also allow you to receive Text Messaging for other District Notifications, in addition to Attendance Notifications. If you opt-in, and you receive an Attendance Notification via text, please contact your school during regular school hours to ensure they have correct information regarding your child’s absence.
