Studio Photographer; Dennis Stock

Impression of Dennis Stock

Dennis Stock is a fashion photographer(1928-2010) who lived in New York city, and passed away in Florida. Dennis was an American journalist and and photographer. In 1955, he met James Dean and began taking photos of James in Hollywood. He took many photos in Hawaii and Alaska. In the 1970-80’s he took many photos of color photography and landscape. By the 1990’s he went back to his modern roots of taking photos of architecture and modernism. Dennis was also really into taking photos of Jazz performances, and musicians. I will probably be taking pictures of Nate and his guitar and just people doing their work in the class rooms, just to capture them in a normal state.

Still Life

Still Life was an assignment where we brought in items to take a picture off. The picture was supposed to seem more artistic than photographic giving the items an artsy look. It helps by using different angles and getting good lighting.
