Edouard Boubat (1923-1999)

Edouard was known as a peace photographer by many. He was a poet with a camera. He studied typography and graphic arts and worked for a printing company.Boubat liked to take photos of up lifting and peaceful  things. His was work was charged with poetry and pathos.

I really liked Boubats idea and concept of peace in his pictures. When I was looking at his photography I really felt relaxed and calm and it gave off a good vibe. I liked his use of black and white to make the main focus really pop out. When I took my pictures I tried to find props that Boubat used that I could also use. So I used the flower headband and a book. I wanted common themes within the pictures to give it more of a Boubat feel.
