Colorizing prints

The art and craft of embellishing designs, pictures, and typographic pages with color for a more pleasing effect than obtained in black and white . Color printing dated way back to the 13th century in China. In China they used woodblock printing appearing in books of art. They also used it in Europe and Japan. Another process was Chromolithopgraphy, Chromoxylogrophy, and nishiki-e. Some artists were Keisai Eisen, and William Kurtz.
