What We Do
For the District
For a limited number of districtwide or multi-site applications, we offer start-to-finish management of the grant application process, including:
- Liaising with current and potential external funding agencies
- Helping translate ideas into fundable projects
- Identifying potential grant funding sources
- Interpreting grant guidelines
- Completing grant applications
- Writing narrative
- Developing project budgets
- Providing supporting research/data
- Editing and proofreading applications
- Formatting, copying and mailing/delivering applications
For Classrooms/School Sites
The Grants Office provides differentiated grant application services to teachers, staff, and site administrators for site-based applications on a case-by-case basis depending on the capacity of the office. Our services for site-based applications include the following:
- Conducting funding searches & recommending funding opportunities
- Re-framing funding needs as viable projects
- Editing narratives
- Consulting on budgets
- Reviewing applications
In general, we do not:
- Initiate, manage, complete, or submit applications (check out our Application ToolKit)
- Gather Budget department projections or confirm accuracy of budget items
- Communicate with the funding agency on behalf of the applicant
- Gain permission or approval from site administrators or district-level administrators to apply for a funding opportunity
