Leader of the civil rights movement. He was a bishop. He was assassinated April 4, 1968.

MAHATMA GANDHI

Fought for Indian independence. Led the Salt March. He was killed on Jan. 30, 1948.

ROSA PARKS

Refused to give up her bus seat to a white man. Won the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Died October 24, 2005.
