Students from Valley High School’s Entrepreneurship, Graphic Design and Engineering Pathways were featured on Good Day Sacramento for the No Limits Skateboard project. The three Pathways collaborated with one another to complete Valley High’s first Project-Based Learning assignment, a key component of Career Technical Education. The Entrepreneurship Pathway students conducted the market research, promotions and selling of the skateboards, the Graphic Design Pathway students created the promotional materials and the Engineering Pathway students designed and manufactured the skateboards. Wilma S. Fortich Entrepreneurship Pathway Instructor, said “The project was a huge success because students worked well together and applied the knowledge and skills they learned in the classroom. They took ownership of the project because this was a legitimate business and the profits went right back into their programs.”
