On November 7, 2016, Valley High School’s Health-TECH Academy’s 12th grade students received black scrub uniforms and a certificate from California State Senator Dr. Richard Pan for passing the program’s Community Health Workers (CHW) Exam. In its second year, “Scrub Ceremony” recognizes students’ hard work and acts to motivate and inspire underclassmen of the opportunities within reach in the healthcare (or any) industry.
