Custodian Training Program

This class prepares students with the language and skills needed to function effectively in EGACE’s Custodial Training Program. Careers in custodial and facility maintenance lead to occupations in hospitality and tourism, medical/health, education, and private business. This course is open to Intermediate-High and Advanced level ELA (ESL) students.

Requirements:

Intermediate High – Advance Level ELA (ESL)

Must co-enroll in EGACE Custodial Training Program. Please see page 10.

Schedule:

*Dates:  TBA  Coming Winter/Spring 2020

*Students will be co-enrolled in EGACE Custodial Training Program, which is a fee-based class ($99) and extends class hours.  Scholarships may be available through Sacramento Works Job Centers or by special grant funding.

 

Paraeducator Preparation

The career pathways focus of EGACE for 2018-19 is Education. Careers in the education pathway lead to teaching and other jobs associated with schools, early childhood education programs, libraries, and museums.

This course prepares students with the language and study skills needed to function effectively in EGACE’s Paraeducator Training Certificate course. The class focuses on vocabulary and concepts related to working as a paraeducator. Students will learn about practical study skills that they can apply in the paraeducator training course or post-secondary education. The class also prepares students to take EGUSD NCLB Paraeducator exam. This course is open to Intermediate-High and Advanced level ELA (ESL) students.

Students will be co-enrolled in the EGACE Paraeducator Training Certificate course, which has extends class hours.
