About Mrs. Cornfield

 

 

 

Hi my name is Ms. Cornfield and I am excited to be your kindergarten teacher this year. I have been teaching for 23 years and have been in  kindergarten for the past 20 years.  I truly love to see my students grow and learn each year.  I feel my job is to not only teach  academics but to make sure that my students love coming to school.

I have lived in Elk Grove for the past 12 years and have taught here the past 11 years after relocating from Livermore, CA. I have two grown boys, Daniel  23 and Benjamin 19. I am also mom to two dogs, Harley and Romeo and two cats, Brutus and Mickey.  I am a big San Francisco Giant’s fan and love music and drama.  I am the VAPA teacher for the school and direct the school musical in the spring.  I have  degrees in drama and music and love to sing.

I have my Master’s degree in education, focusing on curriculum and learning.  I believe that all children can learn and live up to their potential.  Not all students learn in the same way or at the same pace.  I teach in many different ways, using whole group, small group and individual instruction.  I am also a partner with you, the parents.  If we work together, your child will become a well rounded and happy student!
