Composition Research.

Top 10 composition techniques:
1. Rule of Thirds – Image is divided into 9 equal segments with 2 vertical and horizontal lines where the most important elements are along the lines.

2. Balancing Elements – Placing subject off-center, and place a less important object to fill space.

3. Leading Lines – Have the lines run through the scene so our eyes follow through it.

4. Symmetry and Patterns – Capture symmetry in places least expected, and make it more tense by breaking the symmetry or pattern in some way.

5. View point – Consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, sides, the back, from long away, and so on.

6. Background – Use plain and unobtrusive backgrounds so your subject isn’t distracted.

7. Depth – You can create depth by having the subjects in the foreground, middle, and background.

8. Framing – Use natural frames such as trees and archways to isolate the main subject from the outside world.

9. Cropping – Cropping around the subject eliminates background “noise”, making sure it gets noticed.

10. Experimentation – Take a bunch of different shots and delete the unwanted ones to take advantage and explore possibilities.
