Math –homework is scored on a scale of five points.  For your student to receive all five points they must have the work completed on time, when correcting they are actively marking (if an error occurs they must write the correct answer), when reviewing the redo work is completed as in class, and correct heading. 

If your student is absent they must make up the missed work in one school day.  The notes are always posted in the class for your student to complete their notebook.  The notebook will always be scored at the end of each chapter.  This notebook is a valuable resource for your student this year and next. 

If your student did not complete the homework they are to stay in at recess to work on the assignment.  If they do not finish the assignment they must take it home and complete.  They are then responsible to come in at recess to correct the work for partial credit.  This must be done within two days for partial credit.

Returned work is done weekly.  On Friday, majority of the class the work will come home in the Friday Folder.  The remaining students will receive their work with a cover page informing parents if their student has missing assignments.
