When Dulcie’s father dies in a janitorial accident, her mother decides to leave the town Dulcie so much loves and head to California. Dulcie steals her father’s 68 Chevy and drives back to Connecticut. Back home she meets Roxanne, who has troubles of her own.  A very funny and uplifting book.
