Bugs should be a part of of our diets because they are healthy, they don’t take a lot to care for, and they taste good. To begin with, bugs are healthier than other protein sources. In fact, the TFK article “Bug Business” says that bugs are rich with protein, vitamins, fiber, minerals, and they are good to have aqs a diet. Bugs take less to raise than other protein sources. In the article it says that “1 pound of meat from cattle takes 2,000 gallons of water, but 1 gallon of meat from an insect takes only 1 gallon of water.” Finally, bugs taste good. According to Megan Miller, co founder of Bitty Foods, says that crickets taste good. Therefore, those are the reasons why we should add bugs to our diet.
When you think of bugs you might not even want touch them but lots of people eat bugs. They taste like nuts; like a almond. The bugs are roasted and obviously dead. My class and I ate a chile-lime cricket and a super worm. They taste good and easy to care for and require less resources than most producing animals.
