I am married to a beautiful lady named Leonore, we live in the South Sac/Elk Grove area. I have been teaching for a while...started in 1970, in Redding,CA. I have been a Head Teacher, Athletic Director, and Peer Coach. In 1990, I was selected as a mentor teacher for the Big Oak Flat Groveland School District. I have five children (all grown up), and nine grandchildren. Besides children, my wife and I have two dogs,and one very large cat. I enjoy reading, gardening, drawing/painting,and traveling.I have a website for my paintings at http://www.papaarysplace.com. . My goal for West's students is to help everyone in the quest for technology skills: Keyboarding, research, power point presentations; spread sheets, etc.

We are starting a new online Math program. The website address for this (free) math tutorial is: www.xtramath.org. A letter has been sent home with each student explaining the program. Be sure to register your youngster (s); you and the school will get a weekly update  on the progress that is being made.
