Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss – March 2, 2016

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday with reading, sorting, counting, and fun!  Can you believe Dr. Seuss would have been 112 years old this year?

We read many Dr. Seuss books including 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. We counted fish, graphed fish, and put red and blue fish in a fishbowl.

We read The Foot Book and measured with our feet.

We read The Cat in the Hat.

We made the Cat’s hat with bananas and strawberries.

Oh, wait….is that a ten frame?  Five plus four more…5 + 4 = 9

Then we made a pattern to make the Cat’s hat!
