Sunrise Elementary is implementing the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) program, a father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering. The primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program are as follows:

–  Provide positive male role models for students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

–  Enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at our school.  You will be able to volunteer in the classroom, in the office, in the lunchroom, and on the playground.  You also have the opportunity to eat lunch with your children.  We are actively recruiting fathers and father-figures to partake in this parent involvement program.

You and your child(ern) are invited to join us at our 2016 Launch Pizza Party on Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room.  (R.S.V.P. required)
