September is National Suicide Prevention Month

It’s okay to talk about suicide.

Elk Grove Unified recognizes the month of September as National Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide is a major cause of death among youth and should be taken seriously. EGUSD has school counselors, psychologists and mental health therapists available at our schools. If you or anyone you know needs help, please use our counselors, psychologists, and mental health therapists as resources, in addition to the information provided on the EGUSD Prevention webpage: http://www.egusd.net/students-families/wellness/prevention/

You can also call the Local Suicide Prevention Crisis Line: (916) 368-3111 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1 (800) 273-TALK (800-273-8255)
