Sunrise PFO CommUNITY Carnival (4/28/17) (Vendor applications due 4/7/16)




Dear Carnival Vendors,


The Sunrise Elementary School Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) will be sponsoring a Community Carnival on Friday, April 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Our Community Carnival will be a success because of the support and participation of local businesses like yours!  The proceeds from this event will help Sunrise Elementary and the new Anatolia Elementary School opening in July 2017 pay for technology, arts, supplies, and academic programs during this school year.  We plan to host approximately 2,000 people at this exciting event, so it is also a great opportunity for your business to showcase and share information about your products and services.


Host a Vendor Booth:  The cost to reserve a booth is $50.  This includes an outdoor area approximately 10×10.  Please provide your own canopy tent and table.  Tables may be available at the school for a $260 refundable deposit if requested in advance.  Apply Here!


Host a Game or Activity:  Along with a booth to sell items or share information about your products, we invite you to bring a game or activity for families to enjoy.


Donate Raffle or Game Prizes:  We would love to support your business by including a basket of items, gift cards, or a few items from your company in our raffle.  We are also looking for small toys, pencils, stickers, or small prize items for children to win at the Carnival Games.


Sponsor a Game:  For a $75 donation to the Sunrise PFO, we will purchase materials to make a new game or refresh an old one, and place your business sign or logo provided by you next to one of our new games.


Please complete the vendor reservation (form and fee) and deliver other donations by Friday, April 7th, 2016.  Booth requests received after this date will incur a $10 late fee, and no vendor forms will be accepted after Friday, April 14th.  There are a limited number of spaces available this year, so spaces will be reserved to those who turn in the completed form and fee first.  Please complete the reservation online at , or send your completed form, reservation money, and donations to the address included in the attachment.

APEX Fun Run (A&B 2/9/17; C&D 4/6/17)

A & B Track Parents! Your Apex Fun Run is scheduled for Thursday, February 9th!
(C & D Track: Kick-off Day, March 27th – Run Day, April 6th)

Join our school’s LEGEND Team! Apex is a fundraising program that focuses on fitness and building leadership skills in our students while earning money for our school’s technology program. A small portion of the proceeds will also go directly to your child’s teacher.

Here are a few key details about the program:
*Login to with the access code from your child’s lanyard (AKA Pledge Kit) for your FREE T-Shirt.
*Students will participate in daily lessons on leadership and will receive wrist bands with the day’s focus.
*Students will run 26-36 laps total. Sponsors donating on a per lap basis will be capped at 36 laps ($1/lap = $36 donation).
*Flat donations are also accepted. For prize purposes, every $30 accumulated in flat donations are equivalent to $1/lap. ($30 = $1/lap prize reward; $60 = $2/lap prize reward; $90 = $3/lap prize reward) Prize rewards can be found on the back page of your Pledge Kit lanyard.
*Pledges can be paid online before or after the race and there will be a link to share your child’s fundraising page to your personal social media once you log in with your access code.

Family Skate Night @ The Rink (1/24/17)



Join us for Sunrise Elementary’s Family Skate Night @ The Rink near Bradshaw & Hwy 50!

Date: Tuesday, January 24th
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Cost: $5.00 per skater (includes rental); rollerblades additional $2.00
Requirement: An adult MUST accompany student(s) to the event as the venue will be open to the public.
Alumni welcome – NO DROP-OFFS

The following food items will be available for purchase at The Rink:
hot dogs, pizza, nachos, pretzels, Icees, water & soda.
(Food purchase proceeds will not benefit Sunrise Elementary)

Calendars for Sale – $10

Mrs. Pike’s Class is selling calendars!  Here is a sample of the beautiful artwork included in the calendars!


Mrs. Pike’s SCOE (Sacramento County Office of Education) classroom is located here on our Sunrise Elementary Campus and serves students aged 5 – 14 years of age who have severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Throughout their school day, students work on both daily living skills and pre-academics. These students work extremely hard and we have seen incredible growth in each of them over the school year.

Each year they make calendars using students’ hand and foot prints. This year the calendar is “Disney Themed” and features various characters from Disney Movies. Calendars are $10 each. All proceeds go to purchase technology and sensory equipment that will help students succeed.

SaveAround Coupon Books are back for a limited time!

4th and 6th Grade Sunrise students are selling SaveAround Coupon Books to help raise money for their overnight field trips to Coloma and Alliance Redwoods.  The books sell for $25 and are LOADED with great coupons for local restaurants, goods, and activities. The books easily pays for itself after just a few uses.  50% of the sales goes directly to our Sunrise students to help defer the cost of these amazing field trip opportunities.  If you’d like to purchase a book, please find a 4th a 6th grade B or C track student, or talk to any 4th or 6th grade teacher between now and Friday, October 14.  Books will be delivered ASAP.
