History – Social Science Curriculum

Mr. Beard and Mrs. Baggett hosted Stone Lake’s first Coffee Klatch on August 5th from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The focus was to inform parents of the new History – Social Science adoption.  Click the link below to view the PowerPoint presentation shown that evening.

Get excited for our school’s largest community event coming next Friday, June 7th from 5:30-8:30.  Presale ticket forms are due Wednesday the 29th.  ICS ticket presale

Drive-Through Dinner May 22

Take Wednesday, May 22 off from cooking and instead drive through Stone Lake Elementary for a tasty family meal by Bellissimo Catering. That’s right–no need to even get out of the car! We will bring your meal to you! Chose from tri-tip, chicken, or macaroni and cheese.

  • Monday, May 6th:  Modern day tea in the teacher’s lounge (continental breakfast type foods)
  • Tuesday, May 7th:  In-Flight snacks delivered to classrooms (thanks Colleen!!!!)
  • Wednesday, May 8th:  International Dessert Bar in teacher’s lounge (parents, we are looking for 10 parents to sign-up at to bring desserts).
  • Thursday, May 9th:  Gift cards in boxes
  • Friday, May 10th:  Taco cart lunch

EGUSD Parent Survey

The Elk Grove Unified School District has been administering the Parent Survey for over 20 years. We continually strive to provide the best education possible for all children. The Parent Survey is an important tool we use to evaluate our success in achieving this mission. The information parents provide through this survey will be used to make further improvements to our school and district programs.

19-20 Stone Lake Preschool Information

We are looking for typically developing children with good behaviors, appropriate social skills, and sufficient language to be role models in an inclusive preschool setting.

• Children must turn 3 by September 1, 2019 to be considered
• There are no income requirements or limitations
• Priority is given to families who live in the attendance area of the school site providing the program.

Classes will begin the week of September 3, 2019. Multiple classes are available and vary depending on the school site.
• Session I: Tuesday – Friday, 2 hours per day (3-4 year olds)
• Session II: Tuesday – Friday, 3 hours per day (4-5 year olds)
• Session III: Tuesday & Thursday, 2 hours per day (3-4 year olds)
• Session IV: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 3 hours per day (4-5 year olds)

School Sites:
• Adreani, Batey, Butler, Donner, Feickert, Fite, Foulks Ranch, Jackson, Leimbach, McKee, Morse, Stone Lake, Zhender Ranch and West

Kindergarten Registration Info. for Year-Round Sites: 2019-2020 School Year

Incoming kindergarten families: No need to stand in line to retrieve a year-round elementary kindergarten registration packet for the 2019-2020 school year!  Please complete and return the below registration packet with supporting documentation by February 13, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in order to receive a priority track selection number.  If the packet is returned after this date, you will miss the Randomized Kindergarten Track Selection Process which will result in placement according to space availability.

Fall Festival Sign Up Genius

Hello Stone Lake Families!

The PTO is getting super excited about the upcoming Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 12th!  It will be held on the last day of the book fair, so we will need volunteers out in full force!

Here is the signup genius! Please sign up!


Trunk or treat!  We need families to decorate their trunks for kids to visit during our trunk or treat.  We will provide volunteers and candy for those who participate, so you can decorate your car AND enjoy the event!

Calling all bakers!  The sign up genius asks for cupcake donations for us to re-sell during the event.  So please sign up if possible!  Other donations are also needed see sign up! FYI, Mathnasium donates all our pizza and helps us re-sell it!  Thanks Mathnasium!


Can’t wait to see everyone there!  And keep an eye out for our Silent Auction items which will be super fun to bid on!  These are all fun things for you & your kids to win and help raise money for the reading counts program, field trip scholarships and Wild About Learning Assemblies!
