What Is UDL?

Universal Design for Learning is a set of principles for curriculum development that give all individuals equal opportunities to learn. Using these principles allow students with disabilities access to curriculum and instruction to fully demonstrate their abilities. The design of the Common Core State Standards is based largely on Universal Design for Learning.
