Textbook Policy

It’s very important to be aware of the district policy regarding textbooks. Students are financially responsible for all textbooks and library books they check out from the library. This means that if students lose their textbooks or if they are stolen from their possession, they are financially liable and must pay for the textbook replacement. Please leave your textbooks in the classrooms at your own risk. Students will still be accountable for books that were mistakenly swapped with another student’s in the classroom. Prices of textbooks are very high so make sure you know where your textbooks are at all times.

If you have lost a textbook and need to pay for it, the library accepts cash or checks payable to Elk Grove Unified School District. If you have lost a library book, checks can be made out to Sheldon High School. Payment plans can be arranged with Ms. Ledford if need be. Once textbooks have been paid for and the student then finds the book, full refunds will be issued by the district office. Please call the library if you have any questions at 681-7500 ext. 8088.
