To gather information about racial tensions during the 1950s, you will be visiting the following websites.

1. Click HERE to rate the website on  Jim Crow laws.

2. Click HERE to rate the website on Brown V. the Board of Education.

3. Click HERE to rate the website on  Rosa Parks.

4. Click HERE to rate the website on about Emmett Till.

And finally, click HERE to gather any other information about the 1950s. Make sure to gather facts on the African American experience during this time.

Now, as you gather in formation on the four topics above, make sure to pay close attention to each website you use. Reminders on what to look for when selecting credible and academic websites:

1. Who is the author of the website? Who is the organization that published the website?

2. What is the date the website was created or last updated?

3. Is there an ABOUT US link?

4. Is there a WORKS CITED or a BIBLIOGRAPHY for the website?

5. Does the web address tell you anything about the quality of the site?
