My Trimester 2 Goals by Samarii Smith
My goals are to turn in my work early and not late, and keep my grades up. I will not let all of my grades in all of subjects go below a C. I will keep my grades at A’s and B’s. I will try to get an honor roll and be a A’s and B’ student, but mostly an straight A student.
My goals to behave are to not be on steps, by not talking. I need to start raising my hand when I need to speak. I need to stop getting out of my seat to talk to people. I will stop getting in trouble and getting sent out of the classroom. I want my teacher to e-mail my mom about something good.
FOCUS SKILL: SEQUENCE
Writers put events into a logical sequence, or order of events. Also, a strict sequence of events is more important in some selections than in others. Writers may include words and phrases that indicate time and order to help make the sequence of events clear. Examples of time and order words include first, next, then, later, and finally.
Other transition words that show order and time are: before, after, during, until, meanwhile, as soon as, and sometimes.
