ELK GROVE, Calif. – October 7, 2021–Today at Elk Grove High School, school officials immediately responded to a report of a student possibly in possession of a weapon on campus. Swift and appropriate action was taken by school officials to contact law enforcement who quickly located and identified the student in question. Law enforcement found and confiscated a handgun and ammunition. The weapon was never brandished. Appropriate action was taken by school officials and police officers.
Weapons, of any kind, are strictly prohibited on our campus and any student found in possession of a weapon, may face consequences up to expulsion and arrest.
Students, families and the community are reminded that “IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.” We are grateful to those who reported this incident to school officials and that no one was harmed and all students are safe.
