Contests Encourage Students to Think Creatively About Issues Affecting Greater Society

ELK GROVE, Calif. – May 23, 2019 – Franklin High School media students received 14 awards from regional and statewide competitions. The student producers entered into award competitions organized by Cosumnes Community Service District, California Mental Health Services Authority, the California Student Media Festival and the National Television Arts Student Production Awards.

 

Upon hearing about the success of the Wildcats students, Franklin High School principal, Chantelle Albiani said, “It always blows me away to see top notch projects created by my students, and I am proud of each of these winners and their teachers for mentoring exceptional student producers. I look forward to cheering from the sidelines as they continue to create great projects in the years ahead.”

 

Wildcat media students also received awards from the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium’s SEVA Awards and Access Sacramento’s Public Service Announcement Contest.
