ELK GROVE, Calif. – June 28, 2018 – Congratulations to all students who qualified for this year’s District Science Fair. Many excited parents, students, and community members enjoyed touring the displays in the District Office Board Room on April 18-19, 2018.
With a long tradition of supporting STEM and project-based learning, the Elk Grove Unified School District’s Science Fair and Invention Convention offers students from its 67 schools the opportunity to enter the Elk Grove Unified District Science Fair. Students submitted 161 entries to this year’s Science Fair. Thirty-three elementary schools sent 134 projects. Middle and high school students submitted 27 projects.
The Invention Convention is a separate competition run in parallel to the Science Fair. The Invention Convention does not require the sites to complete any preliminary competition. The students submit their inventions directly at the event registration. The Invention Convention had 19 entries this year.
