WHAT: The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) College Fair will provide an opportunity for students and parents from throughout the District to learn about college admission and application processes. Families will be able to visit with admissions representatives from colleges and universities in California and across the nation, various branches of the military, and business and community organizations to explore college and career possibilities.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT
WHERE: Valley High School, 6300 Ehrhardt Ave., Sacramento, CA 95823
WHO: Admission representatives from California colleges and universities as well as from across the nation, students and parents.
WHY: Meeting with college admission representatives offers students and their families an opportunity to do in-person research and receive immediate feedback from a college representative. The EGUSD College Fair can help save a family money by not having to travel to see multiple college campus and instead may help a family better plan and narrow down options. Also, colleges and campuses regularly develop new or emerging courses and students can explore and ask questions about new or emerging options and the advice is free. Lastly, it’s a great way for a student to demonstrate interest to the college representative.
