District Officials Provide Mutual Aid to Traveling Band Students from Neighboring District

ELK GROVE, Calif. – February 12, 2017 – The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) is providing mutual aid and hosting 150 traveling band students and parents from the Yuba City Unified School District due to the Oroville Dam evacuation measures. Students from Yuba City Unified were returning from an event in Southern California when they received notification of the Yuba City evacuation. EGUSD will help organize and coordinate the reunification efforts at Pleasant Grove High School to ensure students are safely reunited with their parents and/or guardians.
