  • MJHS Mediators

here are some comments we had about what the power of one means to us at Marsh Junior High!

What a single person can do to affect the world.
    -Brittany
The power of one person to make a change and stand up for what you believe in.
    -Ellery
The self power an individual contains to do extraordinary things for yourself and others.
    -Kaci
The power of one is what you can do to infuluence the world.
    -Emily
This means that every individual has the power to make a difference, and that every person also has the power/obligation to speak up for those in need.
    -Daniel

  • Mr. Needleman

You’re making an important point and it’s heartfelt. I wonder if more inspiring music might add to the emotional punch of your movie.

  • Mr. Needleman

Maybe a voiceover reading the inspiring quotes instead of simply text on the screen would have been even more effective.

  • adam

your class is smart and cool.

  • jasmine

    Your students are great.

  • dejanae

I do not think that was cool. The music doesnt matter it maters about the charcter traits

  • kiori

Dear Needleman I do not agree with your comment about t the music. The jusdges at the SEVA awards really like the music and so do I.
    Kiori

  • Mr. Needleman

Of course characters are more important than the music but I would disagree that the music isn’t important. Music and sound effects are some of the most important ingredients in putting a movie together.

Many congratulations on your award. I would encourage you to think about the music in terms of what emotion you want to express. I don’t say that I don’t like the particular song, I am saying that it doesn’t quite fit what I think you are trying to express.

The music sounds like it would fit an easy-going party lounge vibe. Through the writing of the movie, I think you’re trying to express a serious/world-changing point…this is why I see a mis-match between the music and the video. The music is light-hearted and fun and the rest of the movie is serious and and worldly.

My comments should take nothing away from your award. You worked hard and earned your accolades. However, these are my suggestions for making an even more effective next movie.

  • Benjamin Y.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I liked the movie you made, and the editing is perfect. Also the head room, you must have did alot of research on this movie. I think that’s why your movie won!!!!!
