1. Name (first & last), number, date, and subject must be on each assignment. No credit will be given to assignments or tests without a name- no exceptions.
2. Assignments must be turned in and complete when they are due. No late work is accepted- no exceptions.
3. If you are absent, it is up to you to make sure you have all the necessary materials for make up work. This will normally be located in an envelope with your name or initials on it, tacked to the wall under the whiteboard. For each day you are absent, you have a day to make up work- this includes tests. It is up to the student to schedule a time to take a make-up test.
4. Homework is written and updated on the Homework Assignment Chart on the whiteboard. During end-of-the-day procedures (the last 10 minutes of the day), students are to write down all assignments due and gather the necessary materials. Questions about what is due can be answered at this time.
5. Missing, late, and no name assignments receive no credit and will be reported on the weekly update: The Shining Shark, which both student & parent will read and sign. The Shining Shark is distributed weekly in the Shark Folder, which also contains the previous week’s assignments, tests, memos, and other flyers.
6. Students who do not complete an assignment will lose their next recess, during which they must complete the assignment. Once turned in, it will be recorded as received, but late, and does not earn credit.
7. Students have the responsibility to complete and bring homework to school on time. Students may not call home to have their homework delivered.
