Hello Mommie’s Class,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Madelyn Rose Calderon. I was born on Wednesday, June 22 at 2:50 pm. I weighed seven pounds and I have a head full of hair. I enjoy burping eating, and keeping my mommie up at night. When I get older I look forward to meeting all of you. Bye for now.

I want you to share a concept or question that you have after reading ” The Master Spy of Yorktown.” I also would like you to visit the James Armistead link and see if you can learn something new about this extremely brave patriot soldier.

It is the end of the school year. Can’t believe it either.

Now it is your opportunity to leave a good bye message for your classmates or a teacher. Also you might want to share a favorite memory from fifth grade or share something that you accomplished in fifth grade that you are the most proud of.

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has had a nice break. I have had a very nice break. I have been swimming everyday, taking Sammie to the dog park, and resting as much as I can. Both of my brothers had a birthday this month, plus my family had a huge mother’s day party. I got to watch my favorite television shows, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, Glee and Survivor. Baby Madelynn according to the doctor is the size of a large pineapple. She is kicking everyday, and I can’t believe she is going to be here sooner than later. One more thing, I would like to thank everyone who has been so generous and given me baby clothes and accessories. They will be put to good use!

When we return to school on May 31st, we will get right to work on the American Revolution. In math we will finish up the school year on percents and geometry. We will also be putting the finishing touches on our Narratives. I will also have news about our class field trip. Finally, in Science we are going to talk about the periodic table. I look forward to seeing all of you on May 31st!

See you soon,

Ms. Penrose
