I learned a lot of things at the “Vernal Pools” field trip.I learned that if you pollute the Vernal Pools, you may affect any species or their homes. It is very important to be nice, and never damage or pollute the Vernal Pools because you might kill the endangered species and Vernal Pools. I learned that there are thousands, and thousands of creatures living in the Vernal Pools. I learned that if Algae didn’t exist, we wouldn’t have a lot of our animals like we do today. Without Vernal Pools we wouldn’t have a lot of our animals like we do today either.
What we learned at SPLASH is that when a snake’s eyes are blue that means it is going to shed its skin in 2 days. We also learned that pocket gophers don’t leave a hole in their home. In conclusion, the SPLASH trip was fun and we hope this paragraph inspires you to go.
Hunter and I learned that Flatworms suck on their prey. We also learned that Pocket Gophers cover holes with dirt. Hunter liked scooping critters out of the vernal pools with cups because he liked seeing different critters. Jennifer liked the splash room with the neighborhood model because it was fun. We still want to know how Bullfrogs eat salamanders?
When our class went to the vernal pools for a field trip we learned that the vernal pool tadpoles are going extinct. We both liked going to Critterville to see all the animals. Hopefully we will go back there sometime in the future.
I liked all the critters at Splash. They looked so cool! I learned about critters and about what they eat.
What we learned at the Splash center was that the Pacific Chorus frog can sing. We really liked the microscopes and answering the questions they gave us. At the vernal pools we liked dipping the cup into the vernal pool.
On our field trip we learned about different critters. Our favorite critter wasn’t was Thumper B. Thumper was big rabbit. It was fun to learn about critters. Our other favorite thing to do at the vernal pools was to scoop up critters and look at them. We saw Fairy Shrimp, Tadpole, Seed Shrimp, Clam Shrimp and other critters.
Our favorite part at the vernal pools was going to critterville, the vernal pools, and dipping a cup into the vernal pools. I learned that the garter snakes make a stinky musk to spray at their prediters. Plus kingsnakes and gopher snakes flatten their heads an shake their tails like a rattle snake to scare away their preditors.
Jonathan’s point of view
My favorite part of the fieldtrip was seeing my critter and learning new things. I also liked to see all the interesting critters in Crittervill and seeing Thumper B Fremont. I liked catching things in the vernal pools.
