Our class is working on planet PowerPoints. Please share something interesting that you learned about your planet.
Recently our class visited the California State Museum. We listened to docents speak about their time in the internment camps, and we visited a replica of a camp barrack. Please answer the following questions:
1.) What did you like best about our field trip? What did you learn or especially like about the visit to the museum?
2.) Why do you think it is important for us to learn about the Japanese Internment during World War II?
3.) Imagine you were told that you had 24 hours before you had to leave your home forever. You can never return home and you can only take with you what you can carry. What would you bring? Why?

While at my technology workshop, a surprise guest speaker stopped in, Hector Reyna. Mr. Reyna is from El Paso Texas and is the Director of Technology Services for the Socorro Independent School District. He stopped by to take a look at our technology workshop and ended up being interviewed by Ms. Crujdo for our heritage unit. Mr. Reyna is the child of migrant farm workers and shared the story of his childhood. His story was inspiring and meaningful. He is a wonderful example to students and is proof that you can achieve anything to which they set your mind.
