Haunted House Voicethread

This year we hope to have not only our words but voices online. We practiced the poem, “Haunted House”, by Jack Prelutsky, and offered our own vocal interpretation on our Voicethread. Students illustrated the poem using a How to Draw Haunted Houses website. All of the drawings were done by the students with no lines given to them. Hope you enjoy our first Voicethread while we learn how to use the microphone and scanner!

Welcome Back!!!

I’ve had some blog problems when posting from home, but keep checking this week for updates. I hope your child had a great first day of school! Blog information and permission slips will be handed out at Back to School Night this Thursday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the MP room, and 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. in our classroom.

Cranes for Kids

Our school is taking part in the Osh Kosh Cranes for Kids program, to support the Japanese youth who have been affected by the earthquake. Today we learned the difficult art of folding paper cranes! Here are the kids with their finished product (I am so impressed with how well they did).

I promised I would copy the directions for them tomorrow if they want to make more. Our school has a goal of 1,000 paper cranes to send to Osh Kosh. For those who want directions online, here are some links:
