Tom the Turkey: Decorate to hide him for Thanksgiving and return tomorrow
10/4
I was informed that report cards are not allowed to go home until tomorrow so I will send home stuff that is normally in their wednesday folder and their report card tomorrow. I’ll keep folders so they don’t get misplaced after break. The kids were so good while I was at training that I’ll let them have some free time the last 30 minutes of the day tomorrow. Since we are tracking off, if they want to bring any snacks to share for a mini-party, that would be fine. Homework tonight is just finishing up projects we’ve been doing the last 2 weeks if they haven’t yet. You can ask them if they’ve done their figurative language book, their T-Bear inventor, and their native american quickwrite. If they have, they are homework free. If they haven’t they need to try to finish. (Please don’t let them work longer than an hour!) Crazy hair day is tomorrow!
Math Tutorials
I’ve updated the math video tutorials on each chapter’s math page up through Ch. 6. These are greats as previews and reviews. If your student wants to look ahead at what we’ll be doing when we track back on, chapter 5 and chapters 6 videos are great. Both have a chapter review at the end that they may enjoy trying.
Reminders and important dates for next week:
October 3: Walk/Ride to School Day
October 5: Minimum Day / We track off / Crazy Hair Day
I have a 2 day morning meeting training Monday and Tuesday and a 1 day social studies training Wednesday so we will have Mrs. Irving those three days next week. Because of that Thursday folders will come home instead of Wednesday and I’ll have their report cards in them.
