Weekly Note-I have removed the unit test from the weekly note. The substitute did not read the directions to the students. I did not feel the grades reflected the students ability so I through the test out.
Homework- I have been asking the students if they are practicing their words. I have only about half reporting they practice the homework words. I cannot emphasize enough how important the Wednesday words are to fluency. I would encourage additional practice for anyone with a fluency under 70 wpm. I also sent fluency practice home that will also help.
31st-Field Trip to Museum-Please bring your lunch! We still need parent help if you are interested.
June 5th- Library walking trip…bring lunch
June 15th- Three Piggy Opera Performance- Join us in A-2 at 2:00 to see our play.
June 15th- Water and Juice donations due.
June 18th- Field day canceled due to construction in field L
June 19th- Park Trip…Bring Lunch
I will be sending home some extra practice items for the summer. These are not required but always encouraged. Continuing to practice sight words over the summer is also important. Students lose a lot of important learning over the summer so practicing 3 days a week for 15-20 minutes is recommend.
