Raymond Case Persuasive Essay

By Luke Fahlen

What makes Raymond Case Elementary School an amazing school? This school has won a Gold Ribbon School award. It also is a school that teaches kinder through sixth grade with about 900 students. Raymond Case is the best school because it has good programs, many events, and nice people.

Raymond Case Elementary is the best school because it has good programs. One example is GATE. This is a program for Gifted and Talented students where they do accelerated work. Another example is Math Hoops. This is a program where people get together and play a board game of basketball. While some may say their school has good programs like these, Raymond Case has the best programs.

Raymond Case Elementary is the best school because it has fun events. One example is the Olympics. This is at the end of the school year when we do events like the 1 lap race, relay race, and etc. Another example is the Fall Carnival. This event happens in the Fall when we have tons of games that you win candy at. While some may say that they have these events too, we have way more.

Raymond Case Elementary is the best school because there are nice people. One example is Watch Dogs. This is when dads of the students come to our school and get to play with students at recess. Another example is tutors. This is when people in NEHS help other students who are struggling with math problems. While some may say they have more stuff, we have even more.

Raymond Case Elementary School is the best because it has good programs, many events, and great people. Some examples are GATE, Olympics, Fall Carnival, and tutors. This is why Raymond Case Elementary School is the place for your child.

FriendsGiving

Friendsgiving is a time for my family to invite friends over and have Thanksgiving with them. We celebrate Friendsgiving on Thanksgiving day(November 22). We celebrate Friendsgiving because we like to get together with friends and just have a great time. For Friendsgiving most of the time we host it, so people come to our house. I have many memories of Friendsgiving. One of them is making gingerbread houses. I enjoy the celebration because I get to see my friends on vacation.

I’m So Thankful

I’m So Thankful

Thanksgiving reminds me of all the things I’m Thankful for. I appreciate my mom, my grandma, and my ps4.

I’m especially thankful for my mom because she drives me to all my sports practices and sports games. She also tries to make me happy by spending time with me.

I also appreciate my grandma because she takes me to school and makes dinner for me every night. She also understands my feelings and how I express them.

Finally, I’m grateful for my ps4 because I like to play games on it in my free time and when I am bored. I also am able to interact more with my friends when we are not at school.

As I enjoy the holiday season, I realize that I have many reasons to be thankful for my mom, grandma, and ps4 that are very important to me.

The Sun

What is the Sun?

The Sun is a star. A star is an object that produces its own energy. That energy includes heat and light. The Sun is only an average sized star. Many other stars are larger. However, the Sun is the only star in our solar system. It is the largest object in our solar system.

The Sun looks larger than other stars, because the Sun is much closer. The Sun is about 93 million miles from Earth. The distance from Earth to the Sun is 1 AU. The closest other stars are about 270,000 AUs away from the solar system.

How Big is the Sun?

The Sun is not weighable, but we are able to find out the mass. The mass is 2 million trillion trillion kilograms and the radius is 432,169 miles.

What is the Sun Made of?

The Sun is made up mostly of two gases. Hydrogen makes up most of the Sun (71%). Helium makes up 27%. Carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen make up 1.5% and the other 0.5 is made up of small amounts of many other elements such as neon, iron, silicon, magnesium, and sulfur.

Name and Describe the Parts of the Sun.

The Sun is made of layers of gases. The first layer is the core. The core is the Sun’s center where most of its energy is produced. The temperature is 10 to 20 million degrees Celsius. The second layer is the radiation. The radiation layer, where energy from the core moves out in all directions. Energy takes millions of years to move through this layer. The third layer is the convection layer. The convection layer, where gases are moving in circles. This movement carries energy through here in about a week. The last layer is the photosphere. The photosphere, the visible surface of the Sun. The gases here are still very hot, but cooler than inside, about 10,000°F.
